SURFBOY STORAGE BED

We've long bragged about the strength and sturdiness of our Surfboy bed and now, as if to prove our point, we've added under-mounted drawers to the load we're asking its shockingly handsome frame to carry. The drawer cabinets bolt on discreetly under the mattress platform and can be made from either birch plywood to match the deck (shown here with a custom walnut plywood veneer on the sides) or solid hardwood to match the frame. The drawers themselves feature solid hardwood faces, soft-close under-mounted slides and powder coated steel pulls to match the headboard brackets.

We can build the Surfboy storage bed in a couple different ways. Since shipping a fully assembled bed is an expensive and awkward non-starter, for out-of-towners we make the frame with concealed powder-coated steel brackets and embedded hardware for quick and painless assembly (that's how the bed pictured here is built). For in-towners we can usually get the queen and the full into most spaces assembled (the headboard bolts on in all applications). And if you've got big doors and no tight corners, maybe even the king. In these cases the frame is glued-up into one glorious piece. The Surfboy storage bed shown here is a king in natural walnut with our standard baltic birch plywood platform (if your mattress needs more ventilation just let us know in the notes section of the order) with black drawer pulls, headboard brackets and assembly brackets. Usually ships in about 6 weeks. Custom sizes available, including custom length headboard brackets for extra thick or extra thin mattresses; if you know your mattress thickness just mention it in the notes field and we'll size the brackets accordingly.
