NATURAL RIFT SAWN OAK

Our natural rift sawn oak is American white oak finished with a natural blend of linseed oil and pine-resin varnish. This finish can be reapplied at any time. The insides of case goods (credenzas and dressers and the like) made with our white oak are finished with natural shellac. The rift sawn bit refers to the manner in which the lumber is cut from the logs; it results in a more linear appearance and greater dimensional stability than typical plain sawn material.
